I think it is a 70??  I'm not too picky on the wheel as long as it is straight mine is bent.  All I need is just the rim. I also could use a rear fender

I could use a seat, front wheel, and exhaust pipe for a Scarab if anyone has any of that.  Thanks

What year scarab and how nice of a wheel do you want? Do you need all the spacers/brake disc etc.?

NICE JOB SHOE !! The bike itself looks like it is in very nice original condition or did you do some work to it as well? Either way it looks GREAT-like everything else that I have seen you do!! If he ever sells it don't let it slip by-ya like that would happen. SWEET.

I have a Blue Angle that I am restoring and I have a couple questions about the drivetrain. I will be putting a new engine on it and need help with the set up.
#1. Does the bike require a clutch in addition to the stock torque converter?
#2. What is the stock pulley size? (at the engine)
#3. If it does require a clutch, any recommendation as to what brand/type?

Thank you!

The engine does require a belt drive clutch (torque convertor) and it should be 4 1/2" OD and the driven or secondary should be 6" OD with a center to center distance of 6 3/4". Any deviation from this and you will have a very hard time finding a belt that will fit properly. The easiest clutch I have been able to find is a Comet series 20 part # 219559A but you will have to machine 1/8" from the inner hub for it to work correctly with a 5/8" wide belt. I believe the 5/8" wide Comet model was a TC88 but that hasen't been available for a long time and now with Comet being recently out of business you will still have to search for the series 20. Also no good on the fork dust boots. Sorry.

Hi Ian-
Glad you found and enjoy the site! I think most everyone on here is from the midwest as mini's were really regional. If you get a chance get us some picts of before and after as you get your bikes done-everyone likes pictures! I will keep looking for the dust boots you need and will keep you posted. If you find some and or any xtras let me know.

                                                                                        Thanks-

Hi Ian-

I don't believe he has any of the boots-nor do I. 40 year old rubber parts that are still good are kind of hard to find but you never know. I will keep looking as quite a few others need them as well.
